As we reach the end of 2013, we enter not only a new year, but a new generation of gaming, with the XBOX One and the PS4 marching onto the field. In light of these new arrivals, we here at Vuepoint have created a list of our favourite games to grace the PS3 console.

Frozen to the Edge of my Seat

After loving Wreck-it-Ralph I had great hopes that Frozen would match its standard. To my great disappointment...nah I’m kidding. Frozen is a magical adventure with some great songs and beautiful animation that ranks it up there with the Disney greats.

More Super-average than Super-hero

To a die hard comic book fan, DC Universe Online may seem like the Holy Grail of video-games. The ability to create a character, choose their powers, weapons, fighting style, and even customize your own superhero costume, before going out into thebig bad world and fighting alongside and against a host of your favourite superheroes and villains, could seem like the pinnacle of enjoyment. However to the casual gamer DCUO is button-mashing MMORPG that is mediocre at best.

Dark. Brutal. Compelling. These are just three of the words I would use to describe The Last of Us. But no matter how you look at Naughty Dog’s latest release, there’s one thing that cannot be disputed. This game is an absolute triumph.

The Ranger's Return

After the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it’s hardly surprising that  there was a buzz around “The Lone Ranger”. Jerry Bruckheimer promises something great, but due to bad press I didn’t go into the theatre with high hopes in mind. Well I wasn’t disappointed, so that’s something.

A Kick-Ass Sequel

Walking in to see Kick-Ass 2, I didn’t know what to expect. The original is one of my favourite films, so the sequel had big shoes to fill. Take it from me though, it doesn’t just fill those shoes, it splits the seams and bursts through them.  Kick-Ass 2 is a superhero sequel, by which all other superhero sequels should be measured.
