Will Dawn of Justice Suck?

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

So the latest Dawn of Justice trailer was released earlier this week. We got to see more of Batman, his motivations and his battle with Supes, as well as Lex Luthor and a quick glimpse of Wonder Woman in action. Fans were raving, theatres were rubbing their hands at the inevitable cash load they’ll get come 2016. Me? I was sat in my chair saying “meh”.

The Trouble with Time Travel

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

So the first season of The Flash just had it’s finale, and yes it was awesome. The whole series was awesome, satisfying our need for comic book silliness, but tackling it in a cool, modern way. But it will inevitably suffer from the same problem that anything attempting time travel will. There’s a huge paradox that cannot be escaped.

Unless you’re approaching it from a “history cannot be changed, everything will still play out the same angle”. Those will work. Anything that attempts to change the past to alter the present will fall into the gaping hole of “but what happens now?”.

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

So we were lucky enough to get our hands on the Bloodborne Alpha Test Demo. Imagine our excitement, considering our huge love for the Souls games, when we found out that From Software were releasing a new, original IP! We haven’t played for long, but it’s shaping up to be a real beauty. Here’s five reasons why we can’t wait for Bloodborne.

Oceans 11...in space! - Doctor Who Time Heist Review

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Review by Tizzie Kite

I’ve been a huge Doctor Who fan ever since ‘Rose’ back in 2005; I’ve got all the series on DVD, I own 3 DW t-shirts, a necklace and countless other random merchandise. My favourite Doctor is, surprise, surprise, Tennant and my favourite companion is Mickey (ooh, controversial). I took my best friend to see the 50th anniversary special in 3D at the cinema, and went to a party dressed as a weird amalgamation of Tennant and Smith’s Doctors. (I’m pictured below, between my grandparents. What the picture doesn’t show are my Tenth Doctor sonic screwdriver and Ten-esque converse).

Say hello to Tizzie!

Greetings Vuepoint readers!

My name is Tizzie and I live in the beautiful city of Canterbury. I’m 19 and a second year Film student at the University of Kent. I’m pretty bad at writing about myself, but I think the best way to get to know me is through my ‘TOP 10 BEST FILMS EVER!’

Tissues at the ready... - The Best TV Exits

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Nobody likes to say goodbye, but all good things must come to an end, especially in the world of television. Some characters in particular really know how to tug…or in some cases yank on your heartstrings. Whether they go with a bang or a whimper, these characters secure themselves in your memory, so get the tissues at the ready, because here is a list of our top 5 television goodbyes. These are characters that are central to the show’s plot for a considerable number of episodes, before leaving in a dramatic, and heartbreaking manner. It’s pretty obvious to say, but spoilers ahead.

Hardly Legendary - Doctor Who: Robots of Sherwood Review

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

In the first week we saw the Doctor flirting with a T-rex. In the second he turned a Dalek good. Unfortunately, Peter Capaldi’s third outing as the time-hopping hero held nothing particularly memorable, and will likely come to be known as “that one with Ben Miller in it”.

The Girls Fight Back

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

They may be beautiful, but get on their bad side and they’ll take you down before you know what’s hit you. With Guardians of the Galaxy currently storming cinemas, and in honour of battling sisters Gamora and Nebula, we here at Vuepoint have compiled a list of the most badass women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re keeping this strictly within the films, so apologies to fans of the TV Series, but Agent May won’t be appearing on this list, as cool as she is.

Marvel Takes to the Stars - Guardians of the Galaxy Review

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Many have looked at Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy as The Avengers in space. Whilst this wouldn’t be massively inaccurate, writing off the latest addition to the cinematic universe as a simple rehashing of the 2012 blockbuster would be doing the film a disservice, and you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you missed out on it. Guardians of the Galaxy is a funny, action-packed movie, that is not only a great addition to the series, but a great standalone sci-fi action film.

First Impressions - Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Sunken King

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Excitement. Crown of the Sunken King is the first of a trio of DLCs being released for Dark Souls 2. I’ve only been playing for about 10 minutes, but already that feeling of anticipation and trepidation have returned. That feeling that you only get on your first playthrough of any Souls game.

Game of Thrones: The Children - Review

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Last night saw season 4 of Game of Thrones reach it’s devastating conclusion. With a death count to match that of the Red Wedding, The Children featured more plot twists and tense moments than ever before in a single episode, closing out a number of stories in a spectacular manner, and ranking itself as one of the best episodes to date. I’m gonna recap what’s happened, share my thoughts and make a few predictions as to what this could mean. (Just so that you know, I haven’t read the books, so any predictions I make about the future are completely blind) Before we go any further, I will warn you of MASSIVE spoilers below, so if you haven’t seen the episode yet, leave now!

There are a lot of great shows out there, but some of them have people who we really want to fall off something high. Here is a list of my least likeable characters on TV, and be warned, there’s some pretty major spoilers below.

Supernatural: Do You Believe In Miracles? - Review

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

For 9 seasons, Sam and Dean have hunted and killed the big bad, but for the last year we’ve seen a whole new type of evil. Sure, we had Abbadon as the over-arching demon serving as a primary antagonist for the brothers to – as they would put it – “gank”, but when she gets killed off before the finale, the focus shifts to Metatron, the angel responsible for the angels’ fall from heaven.

DEATHLY Hallows...it's a pun, see?

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

So I’m finally nearing the end of the line. With only two more Potter games left, the finish is in sight.  I just wish that they could be two good ones. Unfortunately, wishes don’t come true, and it would seem that the developers saved the worst for last.

Corporate Madness

www.facebook.com/vuepointuk

Okay, so I’m gonna diverge from the norm a little here, and rather than review something, I’m gonna make a statement on something I feel particularly strongly about – commercialization. People who become famous via the internet are usually the more talented people in the world, as they have been signed down to pure talent, rather than high up connections. I will hold up my hands and say that even Justin Bieber had some credibility behind him when he first got started, but in my opinion, signing a record contract has been the downfall of him, and many others.I mean, seriously...just look at Nicki Minaj before and after she got signed!
