From the moment I saw the first trailer for Independence
Day: Resurgence and heard the words "They're coming back", everything
screamed cash-in. Admittedly I went into the theatre with somewhat low
expectations, but I still kept an open mind that maybe this could be an
entertaining sci-fi flick. Unfortunately, whilst Resurgence isn't the worst
movie I've ever seen, it does very little to distinguish itself in any positive
way.

United We Stand! - Captain America: Civil War - Review
www.facebook.com/vuepointuk
Captain America: Civil War is a flawed but enjoyable
superhero flick. Where it succeeds with stylish action and smart, witty
dialogue, it falls short on a number of points. Civil War is by no means a bad
film, some of its issues are understandable, but not everything works as well
as I would have hoped.

Not So Super...- Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice Review
www.facebook.com/vuepointuk
Given the current success of the ensemble Marvel films, it's
clear what Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is trying to do. BvS attempts to
mix the novelty of seeing much loved heroes on screen together, with
philosophical questions about the value of life, and people with power.
Unfortunately, these two ideals don't mix very well, and Zack Snyder would have
been better off choosing one theme to go with. What remains is a pretty dull
mess of a film, that does little to engage the audience with it's characters or
world.

Speak of the Devil - Daredevil Season 2 Review
www.facebook.com/vuepointuk
Coming hot off the heels of it's first season, and of the
first season of Jessica Jones, Daredevil's second season had some pretty big
shoes to fill. I love pretty much everything about the MCU at the moment, and
to me, these two series' have been the cream of the crop, so I had quite high
hopes. Fortunately for me, Daredevil came back this weekend firing on all
cylinders, and delivered an action packed and superbly made second outing. Here's
your spoiler warning, because below I'll be talking all about the second
Season.

"Time to make the Chimi-f*cking-changas" - Deadpool Review
www.facebook.com/vuepointuk
The Deadpool movie has been a long-time coming, and after
his disastrous interpretation in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, many fans -
including myself and Ryan Reynolds - long to see the character done right. It
is with great pleasure that I can announce that Deadpool hits all the right
notes, and is a must see for any comic book fan.

The Writing's on the Wall - SPECTRE Review
www.facebook.com/vuepointuk
After marking 50 years of Bond with the spectacle that was
Skyfall, Sam Mendes had a big job ahead of him topping it with the next
instalment. It is with great pleasure that I can say that Spectre fulfilled the
high expectations that I had, delivering almost everything I could possibly
want from a Bond film.
